I was born and raised not far from here, in Burlington, WI. There I was adopted into God's family through Holy Baptism on May 8, 1977. Since then, God has led me on an adventure of faith as I listened to and studied the Bible at the feet of wonderful Christian parents, grandparents, pastors, teachers, and professors. That adventure led me through two years of engineering school, four years of study at Martin Luther College (New Ulm, MN), four years of study at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary (Mequon, WI), and two years of ministry at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Port Orange, FL.
I began my ministry here at Abiding Peace in February 2007. I am excited to be here to partner with the members of Abiding Peace and of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS) as together we:
worship our Savior Jesus in all that we do,
grow in faith and godly living as we meditate on God's living Word, and
share the love of Jesus with others in our community and around the world.
God has blessed me with a wonderful family whose love and support I could not do without in my ministry. Elisabeth (nee Potratz) and I met at Martin Luther College in 2001 and were married in 2004. We have three daughters, Micaiah (4), Sarah (3), and Anna (0).
