Worship of our Savior, Jesus Christ,
is the focal point of everything we do.
It is through Jesus that we have abiding peace
that transcends human understanding.
Our doors are open to everyone – all people are welcome!
What can you expect in worship?
You can expect to worship the God of the world who sent his only Son to save you from sin and make you a child of his. You can expect to meet friendly people, participate in worship, listen to a meaningful message, and connect with a God who wants a relationship with you.
What happens when I enter?
When you come through our doors you'll be in our entryway. It's common for Abiding Peace members and guests to visit before the service begins.
Where should I sit?
There is no assigned seating - feel free to sit wherever you'd like, whether the front or the back. If you need assistance an usher will help you.
What should I wear?
Come as you are. We aren't worried about what you're wearing.
How about Holy Communion?
Abiding Peace celebrates the Lord's Supper on the first and third Sundays of the month. We practice closed communion. Please speak with pastor beforehand.
Is there a Choir?
Like most Lutheran churches, Abiding Peace is a singing church. We offer a variety of opportunities to sing, whether in worship, Sunday school, or choir.
What about the kids?
Our worship is family friendly. Kids of all ages are welcome at Abiding Peace. We encourage kids and their parents to grow in faith together in the regular worship service as they hear God's Word and sing his praise. Here are a few helpful hints about children in worship:
The pastor delivers a special children's message on the second and fourth Sundays of the month.
Is your child acting up? There is a cry room in the back office with loudspeakers displaying the worship service.
